 Iyengar Yoga On the Greek island of Hydra

A one week courses from from 1 - 8 Sept 2012. Arrive on 1st to start classs on 2nd. Course finishes after morning class on 8th. 2012. A great opportunity to deepen your practice with two daily classes. Also, we only get 10% off the Taverna now (we changed Tavernas).

The Course

Yoga classes will be held every morning. There will be a break after lunch for resting, sightseeing, swimming, etc. We will have one afternoon free. Evening practice will be devoted to recuperative asanas and pranayama. Students should bring 1 sticky mat, 4 foam blocks and a belt.The yoga classes week will begin on the mornings of the TBC  and TBC. You are encouraged to arrive the day before, for dinner. The courses finish after morning classes at 10.30am on theTBC and TBC.

The Venue

The workshop will take place on the small peaceful Greek island of Hydra. One of the most distinctive features of Hydra is that no cars or motorbikes are permitted anywhere on the island. The harbour boasts a selection of sailing yachts from around the world The Hydroussa Hotel is an elegant, traditional hotel overlooking a courtyard with lemon trees. Each room is simple with its own private bathroom, telephone, air conditioning and TV. This fine example of Island architecture has a magnificent drawing room (considered a museum), dining area, and a picturesque garden. Classes will be held in the Hydroussa Hotel Drawing room.

Fees

The Hydroussa 7 nights single room 294 Euros 7 nights sharing room 196 Euros These costs in Euros are per person for 7 nights including breakfast. If you would prefer to book your own accommodation, the cost of yoga tuition is £330 per week. Food, transport and insurance are not included. We have an arrangement with a local family run Taverna where we receive a 25% discount off normal menu prices. Although course attendees eat there most nights, there are also many other excellent Tavernas nearby.

Cancellation Conditions and Travel Information

A 50% refund is payable for cancellations before 1 July, after that date, no refund is payable. Places are not transferable. Full balance is due on or before 1 August.  Flights depart from a variety of UK airports to Athens. Hydra is then 90 minutes away on the hydrofoil; the hotel is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the port of Hydra. Last ferry leaves at 5pm most days so arrive in time to catch it.
